I Am A Ship

Guidance. Listening. Action.

I pray for guidance. I must take the time to receive and listen for words spoken to me. I must discern those words to ensure they bring glory to God. I then act upon them once the answer is “yes.” There is so much power in discernment…likely because there is good and evil spirits that visit you daily, perhaps even nightly in your dreams. I have been steadily building my foundation all my life. I took the time, however, to lay what I thought was concrete. I allowed God to guide me to identify what my foundation consisted of. I then drew pillars to a house I continued to construct. These pillars are Spirituality, Relationships and Parenting, Physical Body, Responsibility, Emotional/Attitude/Outlook, and Intellectual Pursuits. These pillars are my interests I have developed.

I did an exercise several months ago identifying my core values. These core values were Connection, Satisfaction, and Determination. I asked for God’s guidance to provide me with action steps as well as short and long-term goals to achieve His glory. I see this as building my next level to the home I am constructing. The foundation was revealed to me as I drew a picture of what I thought should have been a house…God revealed to me, however, that I was a ship…designed to sail into deep waters. The action items I have asked him for will be my sail and he will provide the wind. I am seeking space to listen – excited to hear what is next!
