Inside Out

Inside Out.

Would I advise you to find a vampire and have him attach to your neck, then you do the diligent work of vampire extraction and wound healing in order for you to drop to your knees in surrender? No, I will not advise that. I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.

What I would advise is to heal up the wounds that allowed the vampire to be attracted to your neck. Perhaps you have vulnerabilities you aren’t aware of? Perhaps your heart is wide open and not in the least bit protected. The walking, heavily-wounded can sense a golden heart…because that is what they lack. They will latch on to you and drain you of all your energy…if you let them. The key is to not let them. By all means, walk around with your beautiful, golden heart and a smile upon your face…but don’t be naïve. Be aware.

Go inside yourself and reflect upon your life. Sweep up the shards of glass that remain in your body. Alchemize them and allow them to be excreted through your excretory system. Make room for the good. There is no need for you to build a fortress around your golden heart…but at least protect yourself in some way where your vulnerabilities aren’t easily discovered. Let someone work for your love. Let them put in the effort to win your friendship, trust, and ultimately your love. There is time. There is time to fall in love. Take this sweet, precious time. This time may be the difference between having a lifetime of laughter, love, incredible memories, and elation…verses a life where a permanent frown grows across your face.

Aren’t there too many unhappy people in this world? I think so! Fight for your right to smile and be happy from inside out.
